Rooting ( or jailbreaking ) Rooting is a process that allow users to have control over the whole OS, even the sensitive files which were earlier protected by the system itself. Jail breaking  means exactly the same as rooting. The term "Jail breaking" used for rooting an iPhone and the term "rooting" is used for an android device Everything begins with a root .
